What our New Smyrna Beach customers say about Sherpa:
“I had a great experience with Sherpa auto Transport from beginning to end. The office personnel was very easy to talk with. They kept communication going daily with emails, letting me know that they were working on finding a driver. The driver was efficient and showed up exactly when he said he would. Everyone was so nice and helpful. I will definitely use and recommend this company again.”
“Andy was excellent. He’s from Lion Transport. Great communicating about where he was and when he would arrive. Great with both pickup and delivery. Got the car delivered in record time. He travelled through rain to pick up and had to maneuver a little street on the delivery end.”
“Everything went smoothly when I shipped through Sherpa. Their driver was a little difficult to communicate with as he had a heavy accent. I didn’t understand that he was part of Sherpa as his company was different and Sherpa was just the broker. Still, interacting with Sherpa’s reps went well and the quote they provided was reasonable.”

Note: These figures are based on Sherpa’s actual data from the past 12 months of vehicle shipments to or from New Smyrna Beach, FL. When choosing an auto transport company, it is crucial to select the best car shipping company by considering factors such as reliability, customer satisfaction, and transparency in pricing.
Factors that affect New Smyrna Beach Car Shipping Prices
- Distance: The length of the journey from or to New Smyrna Beach, FL significantly impacts car shipping costs. Longer distances generally mean higher prices, but per-mile rates often decrease for longer trips.
- Transport Type: Open carriers are the most common and cost-effective option for car shipping to New Smyrna Beach. Enclosed transport, while about 50% pricier, offers protection from Florida’s intense sun and occasional tropical storms for high-value or classic vehicles.
- Location Accessibility: New Smyrna Beach’s proximity to I-95 and I-4 makes it relatively accessible for auto transport. However, if you’re shipping to or from more remote areas away from these major highways, costs may increase.
- Seasonal Factors: Florida’s peak tourist season, typically from December to April, can affect car shipping prices to New Smyrna Beach. Summer months might also see higher rates due to increased demand for auto transport services nationwide.
- Vehicle Size and Condition: Larger vehicles or those with modifications may cost more to ship. Non-running cars require special equipment for loading, increasing the price for car shipping services to New Smyrna Beach.
- Timing Flexibility: If you can be flexible with your pickup and delivery dates, you might find more competitive rates for shipping a car to or from New Smyrna Beach, FL.
Understanding these factors can help you navigate the car shipping process more effectively. For a detailed breakdown of costs, check out our car shipping calculator guide. Tips & Tricks for Saving on Vehicle Shipping
- Book early: Plan your car shipping to New Smyrna Beach at least two weeks in advance. This allows carriers to optimize routes and potentially offer discounts for bundled shipments along I-95 or I-4.
- Choose open transport: Opt for open shipping to get the lowest rates on your auto transport. While enclosed carriers are necessary for some vehicles, open transport offers more flexibility and cost-saving opportunities.
- Strategic pickup/dropoff: Consult with Sherpa Auto Transport advisors to find convenient locations near major highways like I-95 or US-1. This can significantly reduce fuel costs and overall shipping expenses.
- Empty your vehicle: Remove personal items from your car before shipping. This reduces weight and potential liability issues during transport.
- Be flexible: Offer a range of pickup and delivery dates to increase your options. Consider locations slightly outside New Smyrna Beach, such as Daytona Beach or Orlando, for potentially lower car shipping costs.
- Seasonal timing: If possible, avoid peak seasons like summer and holidays when auto transport demand is high. Planning your car shipment during off-peak times can result in more competitive rates.

Is my vehicle insured transporting to or from New Smyrna Beach?
Yes, our quotes are all-inclusive. All of our carriers are required to have a minimum of $1,000,000 in liability insurance and $100,000 in cargo insurance. To ship your vehicle, we verify that the carrier’s insurance policy is valid and in good standing for the duration of your shipment.

What’s the difference between Open vs Enclosed Auto Transport?

Reviews from our Florida Customers
We pride ourselves on excellent customer service, as evidenced by our 4.9 rating with over 8,000 reviews. Here are a few more reviews from satisfied Florida customers:
“Our daughter was moving from Florida to California for a transfer with her job and she needed to ship a 2010 Toyota RAV4. She looked at a few transport companies online and contacted one company. They took a deposit and sent the contract. But we didn’t like the terms of their contract at all and they didn’t have a very good rating on the Better Business Bureau. Then, we found Sherpa and we went with them. We’re very happy with our experience from start to finish. Their name is very cool and certainly good marketing on their part because it’s easy to remember. The customer service rep we had answered very quickly and explained the whole process. He told us a little bit about how the industry works and a little bit about how we don’t pay a deposit until we see the contract. The contract was just attached to the quote so we could take a look at the whole thing and see what we were getting into. Then we called back and told them to go ahead and look for a driver for us. It was a very easy transaction and their people were very good to talk to. They didn’t pester us, they told us what we needed to know, and were very professional.”
“I needed to send a car from California to my daughter in New York. I looked at about 3 companies and went with Sherpa because the reviews were good. I liked the price-lock guarantee and that’s the main reason I went with them. The driver was supposed to pick up the car at my apartment in San Francisco. He said he couldn’t come to San Francisco because of the size of his truck so I had to go meet him at a truck stop outside San Francisco. I got there about 15 minutes before he got there. There was somebody else waiting for him, and they needed to have their car moved, too. So, he attended to them, and after that he attended to me. He was a nice guy. The car got to New York earlier. They couldn’t go to Staten Island and said they would meet my daughter at Newark. My daughter went there at the time the driver said he was gonna be there but he did not show up. She ended up waiting at the mall for almost 4 hours and missed class before the driver finally showed up.”
“First time to ship an automobile in my life. Looking for excellent rating from BBB. Took a while to research because I want a reliable, honest company. Found Sherpa with A+ rating. Talked to a guy name Shane. Made me feel very relax because He is too friendly, courteous, well experience and very confident which made me feel comfortable during transaction. It didn’t take me too long to get my date I wanted to sent my car from Crestview, Florida to Denver Colorado. I gave Shane the date May 23rd I asked for and the driver arrived on that day I asked for. The dispatcher from the company assigned for me were incredible, the lady dispatcher were on top of informing me on date when the driver will come to pick my car. Also I’ve been receiving email from Sherpa information about facts what to expect during the time I will get the car till it arrived to my son`s place. The drivers they hired were so experienced and courteous as well as the dispatcher. I asked the driver if I can put a little gift to my daughter in the trunk and it arrived safely. It took only 2 days to reach the destination as stated by Shane and the sweet drivers.”
“The initial quote was more than reasonable given the short turnaround time that I needed. In my uncle`s shipping, Sherpa had to use their guaranteed thing. It`s $300 give or take once they issued the quote to the customer. I contacted them on a Thursday or Friday of the week before and they went through the weekend and they let me know that they would be closing down Saturday evening. My uncle was a little worried and I told him that the people have to have downtime and we`d hear from them by Sunday evening. Sure enough, around 7:00 in the evening, an email came across saying that they were still working on getting the driver. Having dealt with car transport before, they`re all on the same leaderboard. Once the car description is put in, everybody`s looking at it and they know exactly who`s been selected and it doesn`t pay to jump around. The pickup was in a rural part of Florida and I was concerned that it was off of a major highway. But that didn`t make a difference. Once they made their commitment that they would pick up the car around 4:00 on that Wednesday, they were there on point.”
“I purchased a vehicle that was located in Florida and I`m located in Connecticut. So, I needed to transport the vehicle. I went online and Googled transportation companies. For the most part, choosing Sherpa had to do with the reviews that I was seeing on Google. They were good. I dealt with three people and everybody was very professional. They gave me a price right up front and there weren’t any shenanigans. As it turned out, I was able to even get a $100 rebate on my original price because I asked them. So that was great, too. There were no changes in the price once it was set up. They put it on the board and within an hour or two, it was accepted. The final company that picked it up got in touch with me and it all went very smoothly. The driver was concerned about getting into the development where I live and having so many cobblestones because it`s a tractor trailer. But he did a very good job. He contacted me before he got here and to let me know he was an hour away.”

What is Car Shipping?
Car shipping, also known as auto transport or vehicle transport, is a specialized service provided by car shipping companies to move vehicles from one location to another. Whether you’re buying or selling a car online, relocating to a new home in New Smyrna Beach, or needing to transport a vehicle abroad, car shipping companies have the expertise and equipment to handle the job safely and efficiently. These companies use specialized carriers and trailers to ensure your vehicle is transported securely, giving you peace of mind throughout the process.
About the Car Shipping Industry
Car shipping is a fascinating industry. There are Carriers – the businesses that pickup and transport vehicles – and there are Brokers – the businesses that help Carriers source their customers. Carriers are primarily mom & pop small businesses who own and operate their trucks and trailers – many of whom own and operate their businesses out of Florida. This means there are thousands of carriers and this fragmentation creates a need for centralization. That’s why Carriers rely on Brokers – like Sherpa – to help optimize their loads and source business for them. Sherpa vets Carriers and has a strict list of requirements for any Carrier looking to do business with Sherpa Auto Transport.
