What our Junction City customers say about Sherpa:
“This was my first time ever shipping a car and it was a great experience! Will with Sherpa answered every question I had, was quick to respond to all of my questions, and even gave me some questions to ask other car transport companies while I was researching companies. I ultimately came back to Sherpa. I also appreciated the price lock guarantee. I booked the car transport late Friday, and Will followed up the next day with me to confirm the details. I had no set schedule for when I needed the car delivered, but they found a driver right away. My car was picked up in Kansas City on Monday evening and delivered Wednesday night to my home in California in perfect shape. The driver was communicative and efficient. I couldn’t believe how fast and easy the process was. Thank you, Sherpa!”
“This process of shipping my vehicle couldn’t have been any better than it was. From the time I made my first call to Sherpa and spoke with a very professional and knowledgeable customer service agent lady to the gentleman who picked up and delivered my vehicle. Only thing I would’ve changed was I was only given a 30 minute heads up that my vehicle was going to be picked up. I had to leave work to make it happen but it all worked out. Thank you so much for a great experience!”
“Moving my car from Kansas City to Seattle, Washington was quick. The truck was in Kansas City before I was. They waited until I arrived to load the car. It took them two days to travel 1800 miles. The car was delivered unmarred at 7:00 AM.”

Factors that affect Junction City Car Shipping Prices
- Distance: The length of the journey from or to Junction City, KS significantly impacts car shipping costs. Longer distances typically mean higher prices, but per-mile rates often decrease for longer trips.
- Transport Type: Open carriers are the most common and affordable option for car shipping to or from Junction City. Enclosed transport, while about 50% more expensive, offers extra protection from Kansas weather extremes and road debris for high-value vehicles.
- Location Accessibility: Junction City’s proximity to I-70 and US-77 makes it relatively accessible for auto transport. However, if you’re shipping to or from more rural areas of Kansas, costs may increase due to additional time and fuel needed.
- Seasonal Factors: Kansas weather can impact car shipping prices. Winter storms or summer heat waves may affect transport schedules and costs. Additionally, peak moving seasons (like summer) often see higher prices due to increased demand.
- Vehicle Specifications: The size, weight, and condition of your car affect shipping costs. Larger or heavier vehicles, like SUVs common in Kansas, may cost more to transport than compact cars. Non-running vehicles also incur additional fees.
- Timing Flexibility: If you can be flexible with your pickup and delivery dates, you may find more competitive rates for car shipping to or from Junction City. Rush or guaranteed delivery services typically come at a premium.
Understanding these factors can help you make informed decisions when shipping your car to or from Junction City, KS. Tips & Tricks for Saving on Vehicle Shipping
- Book early: Schedule your Junction City car shipping at least two weeks in advance. This allows carriers to optimize routes and potentially offer discounts for bundling multiple vehicles.
- Choose open transport: Open car shipping is typically more affordable than enclosed transport. It offers greater flexibility for negotiating lower rates.
- Strategic pickup/dropoff: Consult with Sherpa Auto Transport advisors to find locations near major highways like I-70 or US-77. This can reduce fuel costs and potentially lower your car shipping price.
- Empty your vehicle: Remove personal items to reduce weight and avoid potential liability issues during transport.
- Be flexible: Offering date flexibility for pickup and delivery can lead to better pricing options. Consider locations slightly outside Junction City if it means significant savings on your auto transport.
- Utilize Sherpa’s Price Lock Promise: While shopping around is common, Sherpa’s upfront, realistic quotes come with a Price Lock Promise. This ensures you won’t pay more than quoted, even if costs increase.

Is my vehicle insured transporting to or from Junction City?
Yes, our quotes are all-inclusive. All of our carriers are required to have a minimum of $1,000,000 in liability insurance and $100,000 in cargo insurance. To ship your vehicle, we verify that the carrier’s insurance policy is valid and in good standing for the duration of your shipment.

Reviews from our Kansas Customers
We pride ourselves on excellent customer service, as evidenced by our 4.9 rating with over 8,000 reviews. Here are a few more reviews from satisfied Kansas customers:
“Online, it says Sherpa is the best one to go with. So, I got some confidence in going with Sherpa. My experience was great. The vehicle was picked up from Overland Park, Kansas to Early, Texas. Within overnight, the vehicle came. As soon as they picked up, they started coming to Texas and then they transported very quickly. The next day morning at 6:00 am, I got the call saying, “We are ready to deliver it.” The driver replied to my text and calls, and he’s such a good guy. He responded to everything. He even changed the tracking of the vehicle and I even got the updates from him. Everything went smoothly. The driver and I looked over the vehicle, and what was inside and outside the vehicle. The driver himself took almost 70 images of the vehicle including every inch of the vehicle to see if everything is good. It was the same way when it was delivered.”
“I decided to ship my 1987 BMW convertible from Kansas to Los Angeles rather than drive it there. My first time to ship a car so I called several transporting companies that I found on the internet. I chose Sherpa and it was a good choice! They found a driver coming to Kansas within two days and picked up the car three days after that. The driver was very conscientious and careful pointing out small defects in my car. The driver loaded the car very carefully. The car was delivered to LA two days later in perfect condition. I do recommend Sherpa!!! I will call them again!”
“I like that Sherpa guaranteed the transport within five days or they gave you $300 towards it. The driver kept in touch with me. He called me when he was gonna get to the delivery point. He called me when he was two hours out and texted me when he was a half an hour out, that way I could leave work. The vehicle got delivered right to my door. It was clean for traveling as far as it did. They give you a $20 voucher towards car wash if you send in a receipt. That was another thing that I liked. Sherpa was excellent. I’d use them again.”
“I used this company to transport my car from Kansas to Florida. I was very skeptical going into this process, but SHERPA did exactly what they said they were going to do. They found a company for the price they quoted me, I paid exactly what I was expected to pay and my car arrived on time and in perfect condition. I highly recommend this company to anyone especially if you don’t know which company to trust.”
“I used Sherpa transport to help me out of a bad spot. I picked up a car at a dealership in Dallas Texas and started my 22 hr trip back home. I got as far a Little Rock Arkansas and at 11:30 hit one of Interstate 40’s famous Arkansas pot holes it must have been about 2 feet in diameter and at least 6″ deep. It ruined my tire and broke my 22″ rim. I tried the next day to find someone to fix my car , but nobody had a wheel and tire for my exotic ( no spare in car) I had the car towed to a lot and paid a huge amount to fly back to BWI airport. The next day I found Sherpa transport after making about 20 calls to other so called first class carriers. Nobody would help me transport my car with a flat tire and bent rim. I contacted Sherpa and they were extremely helpful and courteous ! They came up with a price that I could handle and allowed me to charge it on my credit card. Their attention to detail is first class and they promised email and text notification through out the entire process ,and they did not disappoint me ! the let me know when they had a driver and then when he was scheduled for pick up , when he did pick it up and notifications when the driver was close to my location. I am very happy with Sherpa and the driver the contracted with. I will be using Sherpa transport again and again in my small custom car business.”

What is Car Shipping?
Car shipping, also known as auto transport or vehicle transport, is a specialized service provided by car shipping companies to move vehicles from one location to another. Whether you’re buying or selling a car online, relocating to a new home in Junction City, or needing to transport a vehicle abroad, car shipping companies have the expertise and equipment to handle the job safely and efficiently. These companies use specialized carriers and trailers to ensure your vehicle is transported securely, giving you peace of mind throughout the process.
About the Car Shipping Industry
Car shipping is a fascinating industry. There are Carriers – the businesses that pickup and transport vehicles – and there are Brokers – the businesses that help Carriers source their customers. Carriers are primarily mom & pop small businesses who own and operate their trucks and trailers – many of whom own and operate their businesses out of Kansas. This means there are thousands of carriers and this fragmentation creates a need for centralization. That’s why Carriers rely on Brokers – like Sherpa – to help optimize their loads and source business for them. Sherpa vets Carriers and has a strict list of requirements for any Carrier looking to do business with Sherpa Auto Transport.
