What our Arlington customers say about Sherpa:
“I mostly communicated with them by email and I had one phone call. Customer service handled everything great and I was very pleased. They gave me a good quote and I felt pretty confident with them. Their quote seemed to be a little bit higher compared to the other companies that I went with, but I felt I was gonna get a better situation. The quote was very accurate compared to the other ones. The transport was 1,500 miles and it took about four days to get to Oregon from Arlington.”
“Sherpa is the cheapest auto shipping provider I found online. The delivery of my vehicle went easy. Try this transport company. The move was out of my hands on almost the whole thing. It was short, sweet and to the point. The only times I spoke with them was when they picked up the vehicle and then the driver called right before delivery to ask where to drop it off at and if there’s any place close.”

When choosing an auto transport company, it is crucial to select the best car shipping company by considering factors such as reliability, customer satisfaction, and transparency in pricing.
Factors that affect Arlington Car Shipping Prices
- Distance: The length of the journey significantly impacts car shipping costs to or from Arlington, TX. Longer distances generally mean higher prices, as fuel and labor costs increase.
- Vehicle Size: Larger vehicles, such as SUVs or trucks, typically cost more to ship than smaller cars due to the space they occupy on the carrier. This is particularly relevant for those moving to or from Arlington, as Texas is known for its love of bigger vehicles.
- Transport Type: Open transport is the most common and affordable option for car shipping to Arlington. Enclosed transport, while more expensive, offers additional protection and is ideal for high-value or classic cars, especially during Texas’s occasional severe weather events.
- Season: Auto transport prices can fluctuate based on the time of year. Summer months and January tend to be busier and more expensive for car shipping in Arlington, coinciding with peak moving seasons and snowbird migrations.
- Route Popularity: Arlington’s proximity to major highways like I-20 and I-30 can affect pricing. More popular routes often have lower prices due to higher carrier availability.
- Delivery Timeframe: If you need expedited shipping to or from Arlington, expect to pay more. Flexible delivery windows often result in more competitive pricing.
- Vehicle Condition: Inoperable vehicles cost more to ship as they require special equipment for loading and unloading. Ensure your car is in running condition to avoid additional fees.
Understanding these factors can help you make informed decisions when shipping your car to or from Arlington, TX. Tips & Tricks for Saving on Vehicle Shipping
- Book early: Schedule your Arlington car shipping at least two weeks in advance. This allows carriers to optimize routes and potentially offer discounts for bundling multiple vehicles.
- Choose open transport: Open carriers offer the most cost-effective option for auto transport to or from Arlington, TX. While enclosed shipping is necessary for some vehicles, open transport provides greater flexibility and lower rates.
- Pick strategic locations: Consult with Sherpa Auto Transport advisors to find pickup and drop-off points near major highways like I-20 or I-30. This can significantly reduce fuel costs and overall shipping expenses.
- Empty your vehicle: Remove personal items from your car before shipping. This reduces weight and potential liability issues during transport.
- Be flexible: Offering flexibility in pickup and delivery dates can help you secure better rates. Consider adjusting your schedule to take advantage of more competitive pricing options for your Arlington car shipping needs.
- Consider seasonal timing: If possible, avoid peak moving seasons like summer when demand for auto transport services is highest. Shipping your car during off-peak times can result in lower costs and more available carriers.

In short, you’ll want to remove any toll pass or fragile items, make sure you have a key available to provide the carrier, and remove any interior and exterior accessories that could be damaged in transit.
Is my vehicle insured transporting to or from Arlington?
Yes, our quotes are all-inclusive. All of our carriers are required to have a minimum of $1,000,000 in liability insurance and $100,000 in cargo insurance. To ship your vehicle, we verify that the carrier’s insurance policy is valid and in good standing for the duration of your shipment.
All contracted carriers also add Sherpa as a Certificate Holder on their insurance policy.

No payment is due at the time of booking. We do require a payment method on file so that it is available to charge once a carrier is secured. Reviews from our Texas Customers
We pride ourselves on excellent customer service, as evidenced by our 4.9 rating with over 8,000 reviews. Here are a few more reviews from satisfied Texas customers:
“Sherpa gave me a date range and they made it within the range. It was the last day of the range, but they were able to lock in within a day or two of the last day of the range. They told me it would be two to five days, but I got the car the next day from when they picked it up. They picked it up around Washington, DC area and dropped it off in Atlanta. My son was at the pick-up. He said they walked around the car and they took pictures of any dings and dents. It was a pretty seamless process. Once the car was in motion, I had no contact with the courier. During the drop-off, they were able to get to my neighborhood. The problem is, in our neighborhood, they`re relocating some water mains and some sewer lines. So, there are streets that are absolutely closed off, and the navigation system that the driver was using didn`t have that information. So, he got stuck behind a closed street. It was easier for him to just unload the car on a regular street, and then just drive it to the house and my wife took him back to his truck. According to the pictures my son sent me, the car was the exact same as when he picked it up. Sherpa guaranteed the price and we Venmoed the delivery driver and it was the exact same price.”
“There was a lot going on with our move, but Sherpa communicated through emails. I also received a couple of phone calls to schedule the pick-up and then they provided me with basic instructions on shipping the vehicle and what`s not to leave in the car, and ship it on low tank of gas. They also communicated through text message once the driver picked up the car. Overall, I was really satisfied and they were accommodating. We didn`t have anybody to receive the vehicle once they got to Boise, and they couldn`t drop it off at our condo because of the trees. The large hauler could not go down the street with trees because the cars would get scratched. So the driver found a place off the interstate with a hotel, and I was able to call the hotel and pay a weekly parking rate. That was a helpful solution. Everything was cut-and-dry and successful and we were happy with their service.”
“We shipped a vehicle from Virginia to Arizona with no surprises and no problems. The date range was accurate, the driver was courteous and worked with us on the most convenient locations to pick up and drop off the car. I would definitely use this company again.”
“Sherpa was easy to use and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Peter, my driver, was attentive and explained what to expect along every step of the way. I would use Sherpa again and will recommend to my friends and family.”

What is Car Shipping?
Car shipping, also known as auto transport or vehicle transport, is a specialized service provided by car shipping companies to move vehicles from one location to another. Whether you’re buying or selling a car online, relocating to a new home in Arlington, or needing to transport a vehicle abroad, car shipping companies have the expertise and equipment to handle the job safely and efficiently. These companies use specialized carriers and trailers to ensure your vehicle is transported securely, giving you peace of mind throughout the process.
About the Car Shipping Industry
Car shipping is a fascinating industry. There are Carriers – the businesses that pickup and transport vehicles – and there are Brokers – the businesses that help Carriers source their customers. Carriers are primarily mom & pop small businesses who own and operate their trucks and trailers – many of whom own and operate their businesses out of Texas. This means there are thousands of carriers and this fragmentation creates a need for centralization. That’s why Carriers rely on Brokers – like Sherpa – to help optimize their loads and source business for them. Sherpa vets Carriers and has a strict list of requirements for any Carrier looking to do business with Sherpa Auto Transport.
