What our Missouri City customers say about Sherpa:
“I wasn`t there for the pick-up because I had already moved to California. But my parents helped me, and they said that everything was smooth. And the delivery was equally. The driver just brought my car. I signed off, made sure no damages. And it`s a straightforward process. For the pick-up, we had to meet the truck somewhere because the cul-de-sac of our neighborhood could not fit the truck. But for delivery, the area where he dropped it off, it`s a wide space. So, it was right in front of my door.”
“This service is excellent. They responded fast and walked me through the process. When I called they answered and told me exactly when my car was being picked up and delivered. They also sent text. The car was picked up within a day and delivered within two days. I highly recommend them.”
“I had a very good experience with Sherpa and Kate! I had booked with another highly rated autotransporter in early December for a January 3rd move from Texas to San Diego, and the car had to be there no later than January 9th. Several days before the scheduled pickup, there was still no carrier selected and daily chats just kept saying they would update me when a carrier was selected.”

Factors that affect Missouri City Car Shipping Prices
- Distance: The length of the journey from or to Missouri City, TX significantly impacts car shipping costs. Longer distances generally mean higher prices, but the cost per mile typically decreases for longer trips.
- Transport Type: Open carriers are the most common and cost-effective option for car shipping to or from Missouri City. Enclosed transport, while about 50% more expensive, offers extra protection from weather and road debris, which can be beneficial during Texas’s hot summers or occasional storms.
- Location Accessibility: Missouri City’s proximity to Houston and major highways like US-90A and TX-6 can help keep auto transport costs down. Rural areas or locations far from main routes may incur additional fees.
- Vehicle Size and Weight: Larger or heavier vehicles, such as SUVs or trucks, typically cost more to ship than standard cars due to the space they occupy on the carrier.
- Seasonal Factors: Car shipping prices in Missouri City may fluctuate with the seasons. Summer months often see higher demand and prices, while winter might offer more competitive rates, except during holiday periods.
- Fuel Prices: Fluctuations in fuel costs can affect car shipping rates to and from Missouri City, as carriers adjust their prices to maintain profitability.
- Delivery Timeframe: Expedited shipping options for quicker delivery to or from Missouri City will typically cost more than standard shipping timelines.
Understanding these factors can help you make informed decisions when shipping a car to or from Missouri City, TX. Is my vehicle insured transporting to or from Missouri City?
Yes, our quotes are all-inclusive. All of our carriers are required to have a minimum of $1,000,000 in liability insurance and $100,000 in cargo insurance. To ship your vehicle, we verify that the carrier’s insurance policy is valid and in good standing for the duration of your shipment.

Reviews from our Texas Customers
We pride ourselves on excellent customer service, as evidenced by our 4.9 rating with over 8,000 reviews. Here are a few more reviews from satisfied Texas customers:
“This service is excellent. They responded fast and walked me through the process. When I called they answered and told me exactly when my car was being picked up and delivered. They also sent text. The car was picked up within a day and delivered within two days. I highly recommend them.”
“I only give this review 5 stars since Sherpa`s part in shipping my car out to Texas from D.C was perfect. The actual rest of the process wasn`t as pleasant. Sherpa was phenomenal. Phil who set up my shipping was entirely professional and friendly. He even talked hockey with me and was very personable. He was patient and responsive as I asked questions about the process. I set up the dates well in advance. The time came for the car to be shipped and even though they were unable to secure a driver before the scheduled pickup time, the car was eventually picked up. Again, this is not at all Sherpa`s fault as they clearly stated from the beginning they cannot guarantee pickup dates.”
“I was very nervous and worried about shipping my son`s brand new $70,000 truck from San Antonio, Tx to Moody AFB, Ga. My son is in the military and has just been transferred to Moody from being overseas for the past seven years. After going through the top 10 transfer companies and reading the customer comments I picked the Sherpa auto transfer company. When they didn`t find the transfer driver until the day of the transfer, I was very upset until the driver showed up at my house. The driver`s name is Denard and he was very cheerful and friendly. According to my son, his truck was in perfect condition when he received it and Denard was very nice and understanding. He thanked my son for serving the country and the sacrifice he`s making. My son offered him a gratuity because he was so happy with the service Denard rendered but he wouldn`t take the extra money he tried to give to him. I was so shocked when my son told me that! In my entire life I have never met anyone who would not take a gratuity from me! Thank you Sherpa transport for finding such a wonderful driver! Thank you so much Denard for being such a compassionate person and being so caring! I`ll never forget you…I recommend Sherpa auto-transfer 1000%.”
“I used Sherpa Auto Transport to transport a Jeep from Charlotte, NC to Austin, TX two weeks ago and was very pleased with their service. They were very easy to work with, kept in contact with me, followed up on any questions, picked up and delivered as scheduled, and were fairly priced. When the carrier Sherpa hired to transport my vehicle had not contact me as planned, I called Sherpa who immediately contacted the carrier, then followed up to see that the carrier had called me. At each stage of the process, Sherpa kept me up to date with emails as to the status of the transport. The driver for the carrier communicated with me on the days of pickup and delivery as to the specific time (within an hour) and location for pick-up and drop-off, as the truck was too large for some neighborhood streets. The driver also took good care loading, securing, and unloading my vehicle. I worked primarily with one contact at Sherpa for the entire process but when she wasn`t available her colleague addressed and followed up on my question quickly. I highly recommend that Sherpa Auto Transport be considered for any of your vehicle transport needs.”
“From the moment I contacted Sherpa Auto Transport, everything was smooth and efficient. I placed a call on Friday, had a call back by Saturday morning and transport arranged by Monday. They picked the car up in FL on Wednesday morning and we had it in San Antonio, TX on Thursday night. The driver was very responsive and courteous and his truck was immaculate. I was also extremely impressed with his driving ability. We have a sloped driveway and he maneuvered the trailer deftly right up to the garage door with literally a half inch of clearance to spare. The car arrived in the exact condition it was when it left. I have never transported a car before and to say it was a little bit daunting is an understatement. After getting the run around from another carrier, Sherpa really stepped in and made things easy. They were patient, explained the process thoroughly and answered all my questions without making me feel stupid for asking. I transported a car that was my father`s (a 1964 Porsche 356) that is very special to our family and I would trust Sherpa with it again.”

What is Car Shipping?
Car shipping, also known as auto transport or vehicle transport, is a specialized service provided by car shipping companies to move vehicles from one location to another. Whether you’re buying or selling a car online, relocating to a new home in Missouri City, or needing to transport a vehicle abroad, car shipping companies have the expertise and equipment to handle the job safely and efficiently. These companies use specialized carriers and trailers to ensure your vehicle is transported securely, giving you peace of mind throughout the process.
About the Car Shipping Industry
Car shipping is a fascinating industry. There are Carriers – the businesses that pickup and transport vehicles – and there are Brokers – the businesses that help Carriers source their customers. Carriers are primarily mom & pop small businesses who own and operate their trucks and trailers – many of whom own and operate their businesses out of Texas. This means there are thousands of carriers and this fragmentation creates a need for centralization. That’s why Carriers rely on Brokers – like Sherpa – to help optimize their loads and source business for them. Sherpa vets Carriers and has a strict list of requirements for any Carrier looking to do business with Sherpa Auto Transport.
