What our Falls Church customers say about Sherpa:
“Sherpa made the whole experience stress-free. The rep explained the whole procedure and they had my transport set up right away. Price was good and never changed. They met my pick-up date and delivered the car in great shape to Falls Church.”
“I transported my Prius from DC to San Diego. Josh M at Sherpa was transparent with the process and was the only carrier who told me outright that the service will not be able to pick up in DC and that the handover was to happen in nearby Virginia. They were able to get a “spot” in Unified Auto Trans Corp and my car was transported without a hitch.”
“I’m very pleased with Sherpa. They were the most knowledgeable and the nicest, no-pressure, and they got back with my wife where nobody else did. The driver was excellent. We had to meet him at the freeway because he couldn’t get his truck in the neighborhood, which was no problem. He did a beautiful job and he got it there on time to Virginia.”

When choosing an auto transport company, it is crucial to select the best car shipping company by considering factors such as reliability, customer satisfaction, and transparency in pricing.
Factors that affect Falls Church Car Shipping Prices
- Distance: The length of the journey significantly impacts car shipping costs to or from Falls Church, VA. Longer distances generally mean higher prices, but per-mile rates often decrease for longer trips.
- Vehicle Size: Larger vehicles, like SUVs or trucks, typically cost more to ship than compact cars due to their weight and size. This is particularly important when considering Falls Church’s diverse vehicle population.
- Transport Type: Open carriers are the most common and cost-effective option for car shipping to Falls Church. Enclosed transport, while pricier, offers extra protection and is ideal for luxury or classic cars, especially during Virginia’s occasional severe weather.
- Season: Auto transport prices in Falls Church can fluctuate with the seasons. Summer months and January typically see higher demand and prices, while spring and fall might offer more competitive rates.
- Location Accessibility: Falls Church’s proximity to major highways like I-66 and I-495 can make it easier and potentially cheaper for car shipping. However, specific pickup or drop-off locations within the city may affect costs.
- Timing Flexibility: If you’re flexible with your car shipping dates, you might find better rates. Rush or guaranteed delivery services to Falls Church will typically cost more.
- Vehicle Condition: Operable vehicles are easier and cheaper to ship. If your car isn’t running, expect to pay more for specialized equipment needed to load and unload it.

- Empty your vehicle: Remove personal items from your car before transport. This reduces weight and potential liability issues during the auto transport process.
- Be flexible: Offering flexibility in pickup and delivery dates can lead to better options and potential savings on your Falls Church car shipping. Consider adjusting your schedule to take advantage of more cost-effective transport times.

- Avoid using snow tire chains, as carriers can’t transport vehicles with them.
- Ensure pickup and drop-off locations are on level ground to prevent slipping.
- Remove any items that could freeze and potentially damage your vehicle.
During summer, Falls Church can experience hot and humid conditions. When using car transport services in warmer months:

Reviews from our Virginia Customers
We pride ourselves on excellent customer service, as evidenced by our 4.9 rating with over 8,000 reviews. Here are a few more reviews from satisfied Virginia customers:
“I was moving from Tucson to Virginia. I talked to someone in May and because I called that early, Sherpa gave me a substantial discount so that I wasn`t paying the summer rates. The original person that I dealt with was very good. He was very friendly. He confirmed everything in writing. He was very, very helpful. The driver was extremely friendly, and helpful. He gave me a general idea of when the car was going to be delivered up to Virginia and how he would reach us. It was at night when he delivered it. The guy was very professional. He was prepared. He had the car unloaded right away and then took off for Philadelphia. It was a very, very easy move. I`ve encouraged other people to use Sherpa. The only issue that we had was that no one could tell me precisely when the car was going to be picked up. We thought it was gonna be picked up on Friday, but it wasn`t picked up until Sunday. But that was no big deal. They confirmed that someone would be there and they were.”
“Sherpa gave me a date range and they made it within the range. It was the last day of the range, but they were able to lock in within a day or two of the last day of the range. They told me it would be two to five days, but I got the car the next day from when they picked it up. They picked it up around Washington, DC area and dropped it off in Atlanta. My son was at the pick-up. He said they walked around the car and they took pictures of any dings and dents. It was a pretty seamless process. Once the car was in motion, I had no contact with the courier. During the drop-off, they were able to get to my neighborhood. The problem is, in our neighborhood, they`re relocating some water mains and some sewer lines. So, there are streets that are absolutely closed off, and the navigation system that the driver was using didn`t have that information. So, he got stuck behind a closed street. It was easier for him to just unload the car on a regular street, and then just drive it to the house and my wife took him back to his truck. According to the pictures my son sent me, the car was the exact same as when he picked it up. Sherpa guaranteed the price and we Venmoed the delivery driver and it was the exact same price.”
“Sherpa was a little bit cheaper than the other company we looked at. The representatives asked what we were looking for, and the make and model. They wanted to know where we wanted the car to go to and where is it being taken from. They explained they couldn`t go into heavy residential areas, gave us a quote, and followed up by text. The pick-up process was great. The guy texted before he arrived and told us how many minutes before he was going to get here. He came, grabbed the car, loaded it up, gave us a receipt, and he confirmed to make sure that the address that they had for the other end was accurate. The person who received the car on the other end said the car was still in excellent condition. Sherpa did everything I expected they would.”
“My entire experience with this company was excellent. They were very helpful on the phone, very quick with the paperwork, and a driver was scheduled in just two days. The driver communicated well, was extremely professional, and when he picked up the car it was obvious that he was very experienced in loading the car carefully and safely. He delivered the car across country quicker than planned, and also worked with my son in Arizona to coordinate a complicated delivery schedule. I can`t think of any way that my experience could have been better!”
“I can`t express enough how incredibly great and smooth my experience was with Sherpa. From the moment I first called them and spoke to a representative to the handling over my keys. They communicated with me almost daily to make sure I understood the process and had contact with my deliveryman. His name was Phillip from Spokane Wa and he was super courteous and right on time down to the last minute. He had constant contact with me as well. Super pleased with the quik delivery and incredibly exceptional service. They never veared from their original quote even when my delivery address was mildly changed. Said it was going to possibly take up to 10 days to get from Cheney, Wa to Nw West Virginia but took less than a week. I recommend this company to anyone! I give them 10 stars☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆”

What is Car Shipping?
Car shipping, also known as auto transport or vehicle transport, is a specialized service provided by car shipping companies to move vehicles from one location to another. Whether you’re buying or selling a car online, relocating to a new home in Falls Church, or needing to transport a vehicle abroad, car shipping companies have the expertise and equipment to handle the job safely and efficiently. These companies use specialized carriers and trailers to ensure your vehicle is transported securely, giving you peace of mind throughout the process.
About the Car Shipping Industry
Car shipping is a fascinating industry. There are Carriers – the businesses that pickup and transport vehicles – and there are Brokers – the businesses that help Carriers source their customers. Carriers are primarily mom & pop small businesses who own and operate their trucks and trailers – many of whom own and operate their businesses out of Virginia. This means there are thousands of carriers and this fragmentation creates a need for centralization. That’s why Carriers rely on Brokers – like Sherpa – to help optimize their loads and source business for them. Sherpa vets Carriers and has a strict list of requirements for any Carrier looking to do business with Sherpa Auto Transport.
