What our Manassas customers say about Sherpa:
“I called Sherpa and the rep was so kind and nice. They guaranteed the rate for my move. The driver was very nice too. He texted me and let me know where he was and when he was going to be there because he had other vehicles to deliver. The move went really well. The vehicle needed a carwash when it arrived and Sherpa gave me the fee to get one. They also gave me a $100 gift card back. So, it was a win-win for me. Sherpa was excellent and I recommend them highly.”
“Sherpa facilitated the transportation of my car from Louisiana to Virginia at a competitive rate, promptly, and smoothly. This is in stark contrast to the other company that transported the same car to Louisiana. Hopefully, Sherpa will likewise process my rebate expeditiously. Big up Sherpa!”
“I was moving from Tucson to Virginia. I talked to someone in May and because I called that early, Sherpa gave me a substantial discount so that I wasn`t paying the summer rates. The original person that I dealt with was very good. He was very friendly. He confirmed everything in writing. He was very, very helpful. The driver was extremely friendly, and helpful.”

Factors that affect Manassas Car Shipping Prices
- Distance: The journey length significantly impacts car shipping costs to or from Manassas, VA. Longer distances generally mean higher prices, but per-mile rates often decrease for longer trips.
- Transport Type: Open carriers are the most common and cost-effective option for auto transport to Manassas. Enclosed transport, while about 50% pricier, offers extra protection from weather and road debris, which can be beneficial during Virginia’s occasional severe storms.
- Vehicle Size: Larger or heavier vehicles, like SUVs or trucks, typically cost more to ship to Manassas due to the space they occupy and their weight.
- Seasonality: Car shipping prices to Manassas can fluctuate with the seasons. Summer months and January often see higher rates due to increased demand.
- Location Accessibility: Manassas’s proximity to major routes like I-66 and Route 28 can help keep costs down. However, deliveries to more remote areas outside the city might incur additional fees.
- Timeframe: Flexible pickup and delivery dates can lead to more competitive pricing for car shipping to Manassas. Rush or guaranteed delivery services typically come at a premium.
- Vehicle Condition: Operable vehicles are easier and cheaper to transport. Non-running cars require special equipment, increasing the cost of shipping to or from Manassas.

Tips & Tricks for Saving on Vehicle Shipping

Reviews from our Virginia Customers
We pride ourselves on excellent customer service, as evidenced by our 4.9 rating with over 8,000 reviews. Here are a few more reviews from satisfied Virginia customers:
“I just had my very first car shipment experience, which was a bit complicated: I was leaving my car in Virginia beach after a road trip and flying to Minneapolis for a wedding. I just didn`t have time to make that drive between work and the wedding, but I live in Chicago. So I needed my car moved from Virginia beach to Chicago without me being in either location physically. I researched the options for shipment companies and read about all the nightmare scenarios that could happen. However, Sherpa was highly rated, reasonably priced, and easy to work with. I also felt secure in their guarantee that the amount wouldn`t change and they would front their own money to the drivers to make sure. They explained the timeline of how much I owed at each stage, such as locking in the rate and getting the driver. When the driver arrived to get the car, I wasn`t present, but I felt secure because he took sooo many photos and videos of the car, along with a very thorough review. He got the car to Chicago ahead of schedule and dropped it off with my roommate. He even came back after he left to help her take the emergency brake off. I can`t recommend Sherpa and this driver enough! Please choose them, especially if you have a complicated situation or want to feel taken care of!”
“Sherpa was a little bit cheaper than the other company we looked at. The representatives asked what we were looking for, and the make and model. They wanted to know where we wanted the car to go to and where is it being taken from. They explained they couldn`t go into heavy residential areas, gave us a quote, and followed up by text. The pick-up process was great. The guy texted before he arrived and told us how many minutes before he was going to get here. He came, grabbed the car, loaded it up, gave us a receipt, and he confirmed to make sure that the address that they had for the other end was accurate. The person who received the car on the other end said the car was still in excellent condition. Sherpa did everything I expected they would.”
“I can`t express enough how incredibly great and smooth my experience was with Sherpa. From the moment I first called them and spoke to a representative to the handling over my keys. They communicated with me almost daily to make sure I understood the process and had contact with my deliveryman. His name was Phillip from Spokane Wa and he was super courteous and right on time down to the last minute. He had constant contact with me as well. Super pleased with the quik delivery and incredibly exceptional service. They never veared from their original quote even when my delivery address was mildly changed. Said it was going to possibly take up to 10 days to get from Cheney, Wa to Nw West Virginia but took less than a week. I recommend this company to anyone! I give them 10 stars☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆”
“Sherpa gave me a date range and they made it within the range. It was the last day of the range, but they were able to lock in within a day or two of the last day of the range. They told me it would be two to five days, but I got the car the next day from when they picked it up. They picked it up around Washington, DC area and dropped it off in Atlanta. My son was at the pick-up. He said they walked around the car and they took pictures of any dings and dents. It was a pretty seamless process. Once the car was in motion, I had no contact with the courier. During the drop-off, they were able to get to my neighborhood. The problem is, in our neighborhood, they`re relocating some water mains and some sewer lines. So, there are streets that are absolutely closed off, and the navigation system that the driver was using didn`t have that information. So, he got stuck behind a closed street. It was easier for him to just unload the car on a regular street, and then just drive it to the house and my wife took him back to his truck. According to the pictures my son sent me, the car was the exact same as when he picked it up. Sherpa guaranteed the price and we Venmoed the delivery driver and it was the exact same price.”
“I transported my Prius from DC to San Diego. As this is my first time to use an auto transport service I was very leery and called a number of companies. From the Josh M at Sherpa was transparent with the process and was the only carrier who told me outright that the service will not be able to pick up in DC and that the handover was to happen in nearby Virginia. They were able to get a “spot” in Unified Auto Trans Corp and my car was transported without a hitch. Unified Auto Trans Corp was excellent! Sam the driver communicated well and gave important information. He was very thorough with the car inspection. Car arrived as expected.”

What is Car Shipping?
Car shipping, also known as auto transport or vehicle transport, is a specialized service provided by car shipping companies to move vehicles from one location to another. Whether you’re buying or selling a car online, relocating to a new home in Manassas, or needing to transport a vehicle abroad, car shipping companies have the expertise and equipment to handle the job safely and efficiently. These companies use specialized carriers and trailers to ensure your vehicle is transported securely, giving you peace of mind throughout the process.
About the Car Shipping Industry
Car shipping is a fascinating industry. There are Carriers – the businesses that pickup and transport vehicles – and there are Brokers – the businesses that help Carriers source their customers. Carriers are primarily mom & pop small businesses who own and operate their trucks and trailers – many of whom own and operate their businesses out of Virginia. This means there are thousands of carriers and this fragmentation creates a need for centralization. That’s why Carriers rely on Brokers – like Sherpa – to help optimize their loads and source business for them. Sherpa vets Carriers and has a strict list of requirements for any Carrier looking to do business with Sherpa Auto Transport.
