What our Palm Beach customers say about Sherpa:
“We didn’t wanna rent a car in Florida. We wanted to have our car there but we didn’t wanna go by train or by car. We wanted to fly down there. So we used a transport service to move our car from New Jersey to Florida. We called Sherpa and they gave us a price. It was highly expensive but it was fair. The car came and it was in good shape. They took care of it and didn’t mess it up.”
“I was moving from Philadelphia to Florida and I have too many cars. I needed my 2015 Corvette transported. I don’t want to drive it down. I looked into six companies. Sherpa Auto Transport got a good rating and they were easy to get in touch with. Their price was fair too. It wasn’t the cheapest but it wasn’t the most expensive either. Their rep was really nice.”
“The driver was wonderful. When he went to unload my truck, it didn’t start and that scared the living daylights out of him. But he was wonderful about it and he kept his sense of humor. The next time he turned the key, it started. He was super friendly and really nice. We really enjoyed working with him. The quote was right in line with everyone else price-wise.”

Factors that affect Palm Beach Car Shipping Prices
- Distance and Route: Palm Beach’s location on Florida’s southeast coast affects shipping costs. Transporting to/from major cities like Miami or Orlando is generally cheaper than remote areas. The proximity to I-95 and Florida’s Turnpike can also influence prices for car shipping to Palm Beach.
- Seasonal Demand: Palm Beach’s warm climate attracts snowbirds, increasing car transport demand during winter months. This seasonal influx can lead to higher prices for auto transport services from October to April.
- Vehicle Type: The size and weight of your car impact shipping costs. Larger vehicles like SUVs or trucks will cost more to ship to Palm Beach than compact cars. Luxury or classic cars may require enclosed transport for protection from Florida’s occasional tropical storms.
- Transport Method: Open carriers are the most common and affordable option for car shipping to Palm Beach. Enclosed transport, while more expensive, offers extra protection from road debris and Florida’s intense sun but is typically only necessary for high-value or classic vehicles.
- Timing and Flexibility: Rush orders for car transport to Palm Beach will cost more. Offering flexibility in your pickup and delivery dates can lead to more competitive pricing from auto transport companies.
- Current Fuel Prices: Fluctuations in fuel costs can affect car shipping prices to and from Palm Beach. When fuel prices rise, you may see a temporary increase in auto transport rates.
Understanding these factors can help you plan and budget for your car shipping needs to or from Palm Beach, FL. For more detailed information on cost factors, visit our car shipping calculator guide. Tips & Tricks for Saving on Vehicle Shipping
- Book early: Schedule your Palm Beach car shipping at least two weeks in advance. This allows carriers to optimize routes and potentially offer discounts for bundling multiple vehicles.
- Choose open transport: Open car shipping is typically more affordable than enclosed transport. It offers greater flexibility for negotiating lower rates, especially for standard vehicles.
- Select strategic locations: Discuss with Sherpa Auto Transport advisors about convenient pickup and drop-off points near major highways like I-95 or Florida’s Turnpike. This can significantly reduce fuel costs and overall shipping expenses.
- Lighten your load: Remove personal items from your vehicle before transport. This reduces weight and potential liability issues during the auto transport process.
- Stay flexible: Offer a range of dates for pickup and delivery. This flexibility can help you secure better rates for your car shipping services to or from Palm Beach, FL.
- Consider seasonal timing: If possible, avoid peak seasons like summer or holidays when demand for auto transport is high. Off-peak shipping can often result in more competitive pricing.

What’s the difference between Open vs Enclosed Auto Transport?

When planning car shipping to or from Palm Beach, FL, it’s crucial to consider the unique seasonal factors that can impact your auto transport experience. Palm Beach enjoys a tropical climate with warm temperatures year-round, but there are still important considerations for those using car shipping services.
Summer Considerations (May to October):
- Protect your vehicle from intense heat and sun exposure by placing a sunshade under the windshield before shipping.
- Remove any heat-sensitive items from your car to prevent melting or damage.
- Be aware that summer is hurricane season in Florida. While car transport companies monitor weather conditions, delays may occur during severe storms.
Winter Considerations (November to April):
- Winter is the peak season for Palm Beach car shipping due to the influx of snowbirds. Book your auto transport well in advance to secure your preferred dates.
- Despite mild winters, ensure your vehicle’s antifreeze levels are appropriate if you’re shipping a car to colder regions.
- Remove valuable items from your car, as increased shipping activity may lead to longer transit times.
Year-round Tips:
- Choose open transport for cost-effective car shipping, but consider enclosed transport for luxury or classic vehicles to protect from salt air and occasional rain.
- Ensure your pickup and drop-off locations are easily accessible for large car carriers, avoiding narrow streets or low-hanging branches.

By keeping these seasonal factors in mind when shipping a car to or from Palm Beach, FL, you’ll ensure a smooth and stress-free auto transport experience. Remember to book with a reputable car shipping company that understands the unique needs of Florida’s climate and seasonal patterns.
Reviews from our Florida Customers
We pride ourselves on excellent customer service, as evidenced by our 4.9 rating with over 8,000 reviews. Here are a few more reviews from satisfied Florida customers:
“This was my first experience with Sherpa. I would not hesitate to use them again. The service on pick up and delivery was prompt. All employees were polite and telephoned to confirm pick up and delivery. Telephone numbers were supplied in case there were any questions. Pricing was competitive but reliability was excellent. No hesitation in giving a five star rating.”
“I called Sherpa to arraign for a car to be shipped from FL to CA and it went well. The shipper showed up on time and was very courteous. The car actually was delivered before the promise date. Very happy with the service. I would recommend this service to everyone. I did call another transport company before this but they never showed up after 5 days wait.”
“Had a great experience shipping my car, pickup was on time, delivery was when they said it would be. Car arrived without a scratch or hint of any dirt. I had never shipped a car before and was very concerned, plus the person receiving the car had not seen it in years. Everything went better than expected.”
“I was a very nervous customer. I called Sherpa several times to make sure I hadn’t missed anything. I appreciated their patience and professional service. I would definitely use Sherpa again and would highly recommend. Everything happened as expected which was a huge relief. Thank you!”
“If you`ve never used a transport company, read this first . . . One thing to know is if you fill out any form online, you will be bombarded with thirty phone calls, texts, and emails — 30 for each. It was non-stop. My fault for not thinking. Next thing to know is that there are many scam artists who will take your money. Nothing against call centers in another country but the manipulating tactics of these “salesman” made me uncomfortable. We had two cars to transport from south florida to San Diego. Our sons are both marines newly stationed in CA and they needed their cars. I spoke to another transport company who quote $2500 per car. When I said I wanted to get other quotes, I was sternly informed that I would not find nothing better. Lol. The way transports work is that your “transport need” gets posted on a “board” where the actual transporters or transport companies will bid on them. They need their transport truck to be filled. Sometimes, if the quote the company you called (which is a middle man, not the transporter) doesn`t get filled, you will get a call from that company asking you for more money to entice. Transporter to take your bid to transport your cars. You will deal with NONE of that with Sherpa Transport. They guarantee the first price quote in writing that you accept. And there is not a single fee or hidden charge after that. I had such a bad experience with the dozens of calls and abusive quotes that I asked the Sherpa agent how this whole thing works. He as honest and explained it all to me. Then he explained they only with with insured vetted transporters. The experience with the transporter was incredible. The dispatcher called me a few days early and communicated with me the name of river and time window. Then the actual driver called me. He was an Angel! He was so kind and friendly. His truck was top notch and IMMACULATE! I knew the cars would be safe. We paid around $1300 each ($2600 total). Considering the insurance costs, gas, cost to maintain those trucks, and time, it was worth every penny. But the peace of mind was out of this world! I had a safe feeling with Sherpa. I spoke to several agents because my first agent was off the next day when I was due to sign. Every person I spoke to was highly respectful and helpful (night and day to the other companies I spoke to). Note that you have 24 hours to take the quote. You won`t have to worry, you are making the best decision. Great job Sherpa! And reward your agents! They are well trained and caring which is hard to find in this day and age”

What is Car Shipping?
Car shipping, also known as auto transport or vehicle transport, is a specialized service provided by car shipping companies to move vehicles from one location to another. Whether you’re buying or selling a car online, relocating to a new home in Palm Beach, or needing to transport a vehicle abroad, car shipping companies have the expertise and equipment to handle the job safely and efficiently. These companies use specialized carriers and trailers to ensure your vehicle is transported securely, giving you peace of mind throughout the process.
About the Car Shipping Industry
Car shipping is a fascinating industry. There are Carriers – the businesses that pickup and transport vehicles – and there are Brokers – the businesses that help Carriers source their customers. Carriers are primarily mom & pop small businesses who own and operate their trucks and trailers – many of whom own and operate their businesses out of Florida. This means there are thousands of carriers and this fragmentation creates a need for centralization. That’s why Carriers rely on Brokers – like Sherpa – to help optimize their loads and source business for them. Sherpa vets Carriers and has a strict list of requirements for any Carrier looking to do business with Sherpa Auto Transport.
