What our Beaumont customers say about Sherpa:
“The drivers stayed in contact with me and did a great job with the special needs at Drop off with the street not being able to accept the truck. The car showed up in the same condition that we gave them it in. Again, very happy with the results.”
“I had a very good experience with Sherpa and Kate! I had booked with another highly rated autotransporter in early December for a January 3rd move from Texas to San Diego, and the car had to be there no later than January 9th. Several days before the scheduled pickup, there was still no carrier selected and daily chats just kept saying they would update me when a carrier was selected.”
“I am truly grateful I found Sherpa Auto Transport. This was my first time arranging transportation and needless to say it was really overwhelming. I needed to transport two vehicles from Texas to Florida in a very short period of time and not only were they able to find a driver, the price was reasonable.”

When choosing an auto transport company, it is crucial to select the best car shipping company by considering factors such as reliability, customer satisfaction, and transparency in pricing.
Factors that affect Beaumont Car Shipping Prices
- Distance: The length of the journey significantly impacts car shipping costs to or from Beaumont, TX. Longer distances generally mean higher prices, but per-mile rates often decrease for longer trips.
- Transport Type: Open carriers are the most common and cost-effective option for auto transport in Beaumont. Enclosed trailers, while offering extra protection, are about 50% more expensive and may have longer delivery times.
- Location Accessibility: Beaumont’s proximity to major highways like I-10 can lower shipping costs. Rural areas or locations far from main routes may increase prices due to additional time and fuel needed.
- Vehicle Size and Weight: Larger or heavier vehicles, such as SUVs or trucks, typically cost more to ship than standard cars due to the space they occupy and their weight.
- Seasonal Factors: Beaumont’s hot, humid summers can affect car shipping prices. Peak seasons, like summer months, often see higher rates due to increased demand.
- Vehicle Condition: Operable vehicles are cheaper to ship as they can be easily loaded. Inoperable cars require special equipment, increasing the cost.
- Flexibility: Being flexible with pickup and delivery dates can often result in lower car shipping costs to or from Beaumont, TX.

Is my vehicle insured transporting to or from Beaumont?
Yes, our quotes are all-inclusive. All of our carriers are required to have a minimum of $1,000,000 in liability insurance and $100,000 in cargo insurance. To ship your vehicle, we verify that the carrier’s insurance policy is valid and in good standing for the duration of your shipment.

When planning car shipping to or from Beaumont, TX, it’s crucial to consider the city’s unique climate and seasonal factors. Beaumont experiences hot, humid summers and mild winters, which can impact your auto transport experience.
During the summer months (June to September), temperatures in Beaumont can soar above 90°F (32°C). If you’re shipping a car during this time:
- Place a sunshade under the windshield to protect the interior from intense heat.
- Remove any heat-sensitive items from the vehicle to prevent melting or damage.

- Remove snow tires or chains before transport, as carriers cannot ship vehicles with these installed.
- Be prepared for potential delays due to inclement weather along the transport route.
Beaumont’s location near the Gulf Coast makes it susceptible to hurricanes and tropical storms, typically from June to November. When shipping a car during hurricane season:
- Stay informed about weather forecasts and potential storm impacts.
- Be flexible with your schedule, as severe weather may cause delays or rerouting.
- Consider expedited car shipping services to minimize exposure to potential storms.
By keeping these seasonal factors in mind, you can ensure a smoother car transport experience to or from Beaumont, TX. Always work with a reputable car shipping company that understands the local climate and can provide expert guidance throughout the process.
Car Shipping for College Students in Beaumont, Texas
When considering car shipping to Beaumont, Texas for college, it’s crucial to understand the parking situation at local universities. Lamar University, the main institution in Beaumont, requires students to purchase parking permits for on-campus parking. These can be obtained online or at the parking office. Most off-campus apartments near Lamar offer parking, but it’s wise to confirm this before signing a lease. Lastly, familiarize yourself with Lamar’s parking regulations to avoid fines and make the most of your campus experience.
Reviews from our Texas Customers
We pride ourselves on excellent customer service, as evidenced by our 4.9 rating with over 8,000 reviews. Here are a few more reviews from satisfied Texas customers:
“I`ve had experiences with really shady characters `cause I moved from Oregon to Texas two years ago, and I was ripped off the first time for a couple of $1,000. I couldn`t believe how many dishonest people there are in the middle of that. They don`t want an inventory from you because if you give them an inventory then that`s everything that you wanted and they can`t give you this sham of, “Oh, we didn`t know you wanted to move that too.” I had a 1,500 piece inventory with dimensions for everything, and they didn`t want to see it. It was a very difficult experience. I heard it was the same thing with transporting cars, so I was very careful. I went to the Better Business Bureau website and the only company I was gonna use was the one that had an A rating. Sherpa was one of the several companies that were recommended on the site. I called five people, and Sherpa had the most congenial salesman. He also made me a guarantee right up front that it was gonna cost me a certain amount of money. They had to use their commission to pay for the driver `cause they couldn`t find somebody at the price they gave me. Sherpa was really awesome. Plus, they were very efficient. Every phase of the operation was documented and they sent me an email or a text on every phase. They also got me in touch with the driver and he made me aware of everything that was taking place at the pickup, the delivery and his transit. They were very professional. I was buying a car from a relative, and that relative took pictures of the truck. The driver also took pictures, and he delivered the truck as well as the pictures. I had two sets of pictures and the car was perfect. Everything was great, and I couldn`t ask for any better. I wrote a review for Sherpa`s website, and another one for the Better Business Bureau website also.”
“I only give this review 5 stars since Sherpa`s part in shipping my car out to Texas from D.C was perfect. The actual rest of the process wasn`t as pleasant. Sherpa was phenomenal. Phil who set up my shipping was entirely professional and friendly. He even talked hockey with me and was very personable. He was patient and responsive as I asked questions about the process. I set up the dates well in advance. The time came for the car to be shipped and even though they were unable to secure a driver before the scheduled pickup time, the car was eventually picked up. Again, this is not at all Sherpa`s fault as they clearly stated from the beginning they cannot guarantee pickup dates. Now comes the unpleasant part. The driver texted me saying “Call me” and I called him and he told me when he should arrive. It was fine, and despite the fact that the car didn`t come until a day later than promised, I know he was busy and doing the best he can. Having to pick up my car in a Walmart parking lot late at night would`ve been a mess had my roommate not been able to give me a ride. The front license plate was missing and after pointing it out the driver screwed it back on. No problems. I paid him in cash, did a brief inspection of the car (again late at night in a sketchy parking lot) and he was on his way. I got into my car and some stuff had been moved around, but to my surprise the back two tires were low on air. The back left was missing a cap, which lead me to believe he had let the air out to prevent rocking or something in the transport vehicle. I got them filled up the next day and the people at the shop suggested I get them looked at. I went to a tire shop and the staff, including the manager, discovered large gashes in my two rear tires. It appears they were chained down inside the vehicle and the chains had worn down and completely ruined one of my tires. They said they had never seen anything like it before. The company managed to patch one, but I had to replace the other. I sent Sherpa the photos in order to insure this did not happen to any other customers and they sent them to the trucking company so they can “decide what they want to do.” None of this is a knock on Sherpa, I just feel there needs to be more accountability for the drivers. They should explain exactly how the car is being secured and not make you meet them in a dark parking lot. Sherpa claims they vet their drivers, but this one was unacceptable. It is a shame, because Sherpa was so amazing in every way and I was very impressed at how their manager reached out to me concerning the damage. I would have used Sherpa again, but now I will just drive my car myself because I don`t know how the diver will handle my vehicle. If you have to ship your car I would absolutely recommend Sherpa, but make sure you know everything you can about how your car is being handled. I had mine fully inspected before it was picked up and the shape it arrived in was truly unacceptable. Thank you again to Sherpa for everything.”
“I was very nervous and worried about shipping my son`s brand new $70,000 truck from San Antonio, Tx to Moody AFB, Ga. My son is in the military and has just been transferred to Moody from being overseas for the past seven years. After going through the top 10 transfer companies and reading the customer comments I picked the Sherpa auto transfer company. When they didn`t find the transfer driver until the day of the transfer, I was very upset until the driver showed up at my house. The driver`s name is Denard and he was very cheerful and friendly. According to my son, his truck was in perfect condition when he received it and Denard was very nice and understanding. He thanked my son for serving the country and the sacrifice he`s making. My son offered him a gratuity because he was so happy with the service Denard rendered but he wouldn`t take the extra money he tried to give to him. I was so shocked when my son told me that! In my entire life I have never met anyone who would not take a gratuity from me! Thank you Sherpa transport for finding such a wonderful driver! Thank you so much Denard for being such a compassionate person and being so caring! I`ll never forget you…I recommend Sherpa auto-transfer 1000%.”
“I used Sherpa Auto Transport to transport a Jeep from Charlotte, NC to Austin, TX two weeks ago and was very pleased with their service. They were very easy to work with, kept in contact with me, followed up on any questions, picked up and delivered as scheduled, and were fairly priced. When the carrier Sherpa hired to transport my vehicle had not contact me as planned, I called Sherpa who immediately contacted the carrier, then followed up to see that the carrier had called me. At each stage of the process, Sherpa kept me up to date with emails as to the status of the transport. The driver for the carrier communicated with me on the days of pickup and delivery as to the specific time (within an hour) and location for pick-up and drop-off, as the truck was too large for some neighborhood streets. The driver also took good care loading, securing, and unloading my vehicle. I worked primarily with one contact at Sherpa for the entire process but when she wasn`t available her colleague addressed and followed up on my question quickly. I highly recommend that Sherpa Auto Transport be considered for any of your vehicle transport needs.”
“From the moment I contacted Sherpa Auto Transport, everything was smooth and efficient. I placed a call on Friday, had a call back by Saturday morning and transport arranged by Monday. They picked the car up in FL on Wednesday morning and we had it in San Antonio, TX on Thursday night. The driver was very responsive and courteous and his truck was immaculate. I was also extremely impressed with his driving ability. We have a sloped driveway and he maneuvered the trailer deftly right up to the garage door with literally a half inch of clearance to spare. The car arrived in the exact condition it was when it left. I have never transported a car before and to say it was a little bit daunting is an understatement. After getting the run around from another carrier, Sherpa really stepped in and made things easy. They were patient, explained the process thoroughly and answered all my questions without making me feel stupid for asking. I transported a car that was my father`s (a 1964 Porsche 356) that is very special to our family and I would trust Sherpa with it again.”

What is Car Shipping?
Car shipping, also known as auto transport or vehicle transport, is a specialized service provided by car shipping companies to move vehicles from one location to another. Whether you’re buying or selling a car online, relocating to a new home in Beaumont, or needing to transport a vehicle abroad, car shipping companies have the expertise and equipment to handle the job safely and efficiently. These companies use specialized carriers and trailers to ensure your vehicle is transported securely, giving you peace of mind throughout the process.
About the Car Shipping Industry
Car shipping is a fascinating industry. There are Carriers – the businesses that pickup and transport vehicles – and there are Brokers – the businesses that help Carriers source their customers. Carriers are primarily mom & pop small businesses who own and operate their trucks and trailers – many of whom own and operate their businesses out of Texas. This means there are thousands of carriers and this fragmentation creates a need for centralization. That’s why Carriers rely on Brokers – like Sherpa – to help optimize their loads and source business for them. Sherpa vets Carriers and has a strict list of requirements for any Carrier looking to do business with Sherpa Auto Transport.
