What our Mission customers say about Sherpa:
“I contacted a couple of companies and they never got back to me. I asked some people who they used and they said Sherpa was great. I contacted Sherpa and they were absolutely right. Sherpa got right back to me, stayed in contact with me the whole time, and it was great as they said it was going to be. Sherpa’s quote was $200 higher but with their customer service and their communication, I don’t mind paying for that. Every step of the way, I was either texted or called and I knew where my car was at and when it was arriving. It’s worth the extra money.”
“Sherpa followed through their mission and always kept me posted (great communication). I was a little nervous when Sherpa couldn’t find a contractor early, but I guess that is pretty normal procedure, and they were absolutely correct! Great service with their contractors who were very professional and on time with delivery to Mission!”
“After buying a vehicle that was 300 miles away I found myself in a pickle to get it picked up and delivered. I experienced a bait and switch by two consecutive trucking brokers. Then I started working the phones and I stumbled upon Sherpa auto transport. They have something of a delivery guarantee that if the quoted price doesn’t get the job done they sacrifice their commission/fee to boost the price to make sure that the vehicle gets delivered, and they put that policy into affect to benefit me.”

When choosing an auto transport company, it is crucial to select the best car shipping company by considering factors such as reliability, customer satisfaction, and transparency in pricing.
Factors that affect Mission Car Shipping Prices
- Distance: The journey length significantly impacts car shipping costs to or from Mission, TX. Longer distances typically mean higher prices, as fuel and labor costs increase.
- Vehicle Size: Larger vehicles, such as SUVs or trucks, occupy more space on the carrier and weigh more, leading to higher shipping costs compared to compact cars.
- Transport Type: Open carriers are the most common and cost-effective option for car shipping to Mission, TX. Enclosed transport, while pricier, offers extra protection from weather and road debris, ideal for luxury or classic cars.
- Seasonal Demand: Auto transport prices to Mission, TX can fluctuate based on the time of year. Summer months and January often see higher demand and prices due to increased relocation activity.
- Location Accessibility: Mission’s proximity to major highways like US-83 and I-2 can help keep costs down. However, if pickup or delivery locations are in less accessible areas, it may increase the price.
- Vehicle Condition: Operable vehicles are easier and cheaper to transport. Inoperable cars require special equipment for loading, which increases the cost.
- Timing Flexibility: If you can be flexible with your pickup and delivery dates, you may find more competitive rates for car shipping to or from Mission, TX.
Understanding these factors can help you plan your car shipping to or from Mission, TX more effectively. For a detailed breakdown of car shipping costs, check out our car shipping calculator guide. Tips & Tricks for Saving on Vehicle Shipping
- Book early: Schedule your Mission, TX car shipping at least two weeks in advance. This allows carriers to optimize routes and potentially offer discounts for bundling multiple vehicles.
- Choose open transport: Opt for open shipping to get the lowest rates. While enclosed carriers are necessary for some vehicles, open transport offers more flexibility and cost-saving opportunities.
- Strategic pickup/dropoff: Consult with Sherpa advisors to find locations near major highways like US-83 or I-2. This can significantly reduce fuel costs for carriers, potentially lowering your overall price.
- Empty your vehicle: Remove personal items from your car before shipping. This reduces weight and eliminates concerns about item safety during transport.
- Be flexible: Offer a range of pickup and delivery dates. The more flexible you are, the better chances of securing a lower rate for your Mission car shipping needs.
- Consider seasonal timing: If possible, avoid peak shipping seasons like summer. Planning your auto transport during off-peak times can result in more competitive pricing.
- Prepare your vehicle: Ensure your car is in good working condition. This can speed up the shipping process and potentially reduce costs associated with handling non-operational vehicles.

Is my vehicle insured transporting to or from Mission?
Yes, our quotes are all-inclusive. All of our carriers are required to have a minimum of $1,000,000 in liability insurance and $100,000 in cargo insurance. To ship your vehicle, we verify that the carrier’s insurance policy is valid and in good standing for the duration of your shipment.

Reviews from our Texas Customers
We pride ourselves on excellent customer service, as evidenced by our 4.9 rating with over 8,000 reviews. Here are a few more reviews from satisfied Texas customers:
“Sherpa talked about the guaranteed price. And they stuck to that. They even went above and beyond and when they couldn’t get someone to take my car, they were willing to take zero commission and give all the commission to the driver. Sherpa really took care of me!!!! Thanks Sherpa!!!”
“I had my daughters car transported from SA, Texas to Idaho and Sherpa is THE BEST!!! Always friendly, informative, and TOP NOTCH customer service!!! The company that they got to transport the car was equally amazing! The gentleman from Horizon Carriers had excellent communication, showed up when he said he would, and was detailed in checking out the car. The car left TX on a Monday at about 9:45 pm and arrived in N. Idaho on Wednesday at about 3:45 pm! The carrier was friendly and customer service was excellent! The street where he picked up the car was too narrow for his truck, so he parked the truck, walked to the pick up address, checked out the car, filled out the BOL and drive by daughter`s car to the truck and loaded it! Great work Horizon Carriers and superb vetting process on the part of Sherpa Auto Transport for choosing only the best of the best for their customers! This was our first time transporting a car so we were nervous, but Sherpa made it a truly stress-free experience!!! Thank you for caring about your customers and putting their needs first!”
“I retained Sherpa Auto Transport to transport a SUV from TX to NJ. I opted for a flexible 5 day window pick up and open transport. They weren’t the cheapest but they weren’t the most expensive either. I went with them because they had a $100k cargo insurance and provided reimbursement for a car cleaning 2 weeks from drop off. The deposit and final payment was all relayed by credit card, which was convenient. After a deposit was made, they sent my order to dispatch to match with a driver. I made the initial order 2 weeks before pick up and was assigned a driver a few days before the start of my pick up window. The driver contacted me the night before pick up of their expected arrival time. When they arrived, we walked around the car to confer the condition of the vehicle and they took the vehicle to load onto their trailer. It took about a week and they had a local driver drop off at the destination who also walked through the condition of the car. It was nice, simple, easy, and they were communicative. Would definitely recommend and use again if necessary!”
“I am truly grateful I found Sherpa Auto Transport. This was my first time arranging transportation and needless to say it was really overwhelming. I went online and found so many companies, but just had no idea how the process even worked. I contacted some and got quotes from a lot of them, but it was just frustrating because I wasn’t convinced by any. Of course, I read reviews and spoke with a few companies. Some of which were nice and other not so much. I just couldn’t decide which company to hire. What made up my mind was that Sherpa was the only one that actually took the time to explain how the process worked. They were extremely nice and patient with me. I needed to transport two vehicles from Texas to Florida in a very short period of time and not only were they able to find a driver, the price was reasonable. I also must say the driver was friendly and helped out with the inspection, he also kept in touch and delivered right on time as he promised. Felt confidant that my vehicles would arrive safe and they did. If I ever need car transport again I will book with Sherpa and I definitely recommend them!!”
“I unexpectedly purchased a Porsche Cayman in San Antonio, TX and needed to move it to Cleveland, Ohio. All within the time span of 5 days. I posted a car transport request on one of the popular sites and received multiple queries and quotes. The Sherpa quote stood our as being one of the lower priced quotes, which caught my interest. After speaking with the Sherpa agent, I was impressed with his depth of knowledge, and the support that was promised throughout the entire process. I opted to select Sherpa, simply based on the person that spoke with, and their many positive on-line reviews. I thought it was an excellent value. The transporter who accepted the job of moving my Porsche was Konstantin. I must say that he was among the most conscientious persons I have ever met. He thoroughly photographed all aspects of my care before loading it into his enclosed trailer. He secured the wheels and covered the car. Throughout the two-day trip he provided updates. He also answered my text messages when I sent queries. That fellow was so good that I’d hire him for my own business, if I could! Shipping a Porsche was a bit unsettling. However, the Sherpa team and Konstantin did everything they could to reduce my anxiety and delivered my car as promised. Thank you, Sherpa and Konstantin. I offer my highest recommendations. Dr. Decker”

What is Car Shipping?
Car shipping, also known as auto transport or vehicle transport, is a specialized service provided by car shipping companies to move vehicles from one location to another. Whether you’re buying or selling a car online, relocating to a new home in Mission, or needing to transport a vehicle abroad, car shipping companies have the expertise and equipment to handle the job safely and efficiently. These companies use specialized carriers and trailers to ensure your vehicle is transported securely, giving you peace of mind throughout the process.
About the Car Shipping Industry
Car shipping is a fascinating industry. There are Carriers – the businesses that pickup and transport vehicles – and there are Brokers – the businesses that help Carriers source their customers. Carriers are primarily mom & pop small businesses who own and operate their trucks and trailers – many of whom own and operate their businesses out of Texas. This means there are thousands of carriers and this fragmentation creates a need for centralization. That’s why Carriers rely on Brokers – like Sherpa – to help optimize their loads and source business for them. Sherpa vets Carriers and has a strict list of requirements for any Carrier looking to do business with Sherpa Auto Transport.
